The EY One assessment offers insight into authentic EY scenarios, highlighting routine tasks and obstacles. It encompasses diverse questions, from strengths-focused situations to problem-solving, necessitating video response submissions. The test consists: Situational Judgment Tests, Video Interview Question, Written Question, Critical thinking and the Numerical Reasoning Test.
1. Situational Judgement Test
There are a total of 5 questions, 3 of which require watching a video before answering. The preparation time for each question varies, but the response time is 2 minutes for all. The main focus is on motivational questions and handling workplace scenarios.
2. Video Interview Question
The video interview question is based on work scenarios. You have 2 or 3 minutes preparation time and 2 minutes to deliver your response. You need to read a large passage and respond quickly within a short period. The number of questions is not many; only 3 questions are asked.
3. Written Question
Written questions require you to write emails or analyze reports. The questions will include reports and data at the top for you to read and analyze. This type of question also consists of 3 questions.
4. Critical Thinking
Critical reasoning and decision-making skills are vital to success in this role. Over the following pages, you will be presented with a series of short questions measuring your ability in four areas of critical reasoning: deducing conclusions, evaluating evidence, identifying assumptions and judging arguments.
There are two pages per area, with 3 to 5 questions on each page. Each question has two options and you will be required to select only one of those options.
The assessment is not timed, but usually takes around 15-20 minutes to complete. Please ensure you read the questions and instructions carefully to ensure you fully understand what you are being asked before attempting to answer each question.
5. Numerical Reasoning Test
You will be presented with 14 questions to answer. This test assesses your current ability to evaluate, analyse, and interpret numerical information encountered in the modern workplace.
In order to answer the questions, you will need to use numerical information presented in the form of various tables and graphs. All graphs are interactive meaning if you hover over any element of the graph, you can see specific details ensuring it is easy to read.
The assessment is time recorded, not time limited. You can spend as long as you like on each question. However, both your accuracy and the amount of time you take to respond will contribute towards your overall score, so please complete the assessment as quickly as you are able.
You should allow at least 20 minutes to complete. You are permitted to use a calculator for this assessment, and we recommend you have this to hand, with a pen and paper before starting.
